She stood behind the chair for 25 years and was drawn to the beauty industry because she wanted to be creative and have fun at work. What she discovered along her journey was that a new cut or color could change the way people felt about themselves. Robin wanted to share her passion by training new professionals to enjoy the same success that she had enjoyed and The Salon Professional Academy /Evansville was born. Redken has allowed the educators to teach at a very high level giving our students an edge in our industry.

The road to success was a little rocky in the beginning. She soon realized that there was more to having a successful career in the salon than just being a great hair stylist. A salon professional also has to have great communication skills and guest service skills. It is crucial to learn how to build a solid clientele. These things led Carla to search for something more. Redken and TSPA collaborated to redesign what a “beauty school” was from the ground up – revisiting everything from the way things were taught to how the student salon area looked and functioned. The result was a ultra-modern training facility providing students with skills beyond what they do behind the chair; skills that prepare them for a professional, successful career.
This exclusive award is earned for the commitment to, and delivery of, Redken’s advanced education protocols and standards. This recognition can only be earned by successfully completing a rigorous examination of the Academy’s facility, systems, curriculum, and staff.
With a commitment to industry-leading education, business skills that prepare students for more than passing state boards, and a desire to see our students surpass all expectations for this profession, Redken has provided The Salon Professional Academy franchise locations the exclusive designation of “Recognized by Redken for Excellence in Education.”
